The LED Hang specs page sets out the practical details for suspended fabric lightboxes, including frame, lighting and hanging requirements. Use it when you need clear information for a retail centre, mall atrium or expo build where the unit will hang overhead.

Note the finished box size, visible graphic area, suspension height, and where power will enter the frame. Led Hang units are specified for overhead use in mall atriums, retail courts, and expo halls, so chain lengths, ceiling fixing points, and access equipment must be recorded before print and assembly are signed off.

A clear site photo should show the hanging position, nearby bulkheads, sprinklers, and any aircon ducts that may affect sightlines or access. Include the ceiling type and the measured drop from fixing point to bottom of frame so the installer can match the hanging kit to the venue conditions.

The spec set should pin down frame profile, LED layout, fabric finish, cable exit, and hanging hardware for the exact display position. For double-sided units, note viewing direction and spacing around the lightbox so the graphic can read properly from both approaches.

Before production, match the drawing to the venue's weight allowance and confirm whether rigging is supplied by the site or by the stand builder. Lightbox quotes are built from the wall size, the frame depth and whether the unit is single or double sided.

Venue conditions in South Africa

Retail centres and expo venues often have strict rules for overhead signage, including engineer sign-off, approved rigging teams, and after-hours access. In Johannesburg, Durban, and Cape Town, the final hanging method can differ from site to site even when the frame size stays the same.

Coastal air can affect exposed metal parts, so finish and maintenance requirements should be listed for installations near the sea. Inland sites usually need more frequent cleaning of fabric faces and frame edges where dust settles above eye level and becomes visible once the LEDs are on.

Checks before the unit hangs

Record the actual weight of the assembled frame, whether the graphic is single or double sided, and how the unit will be lifted into place. Add any access limits such as scaffold, cherry picker, or night-shift installation windows set by the centre or venue.

Keep the spec with the project file after installation so replacement prints, LED servicing, or a venue move can be handled against the same measurements. A short note on transformer position, switch access, and removal method helps when the lightbox must come down for maintenance or a graphic change.
