Fabric Pack specs

Setup notes and briefing numbers for Fabric Pack.

Silicone edge and fabric details

Fabric Pack specs covers fabric type, print finish, edge sewing, and packing details for lightbox graphics. It gives installers and buyers the working information needed for accurate fitment into the aluminium frame.

The Fabric Pack sheet records the fabric grade, print orientation, silicone edge size, and finished graphic dimensions for each lightbox face. It is used to check that the printed skin will tension correctly inside the aluminium channel without bunching at the corners.

Before print goes ahead, measure the visible face and the frame groove, not only the outside size of the box. Corner radius, double sided layouts, and zip packed quantities should be written down on the spec. A quick photo of the existing frame profile helps when an older unit must take a new fabric skin.

Silicone edge and print tolerances

The working numbers behind a Fabric Pack include cut size, stitched edge finish, face count, and packing format. Buyers use it to sign off print requirements, while installers use it to confirm fitment before arriving at the store or expo venue. It keeps the graphic, frame, and carton contents aligned on one job.

If you send an enquiry through the contact form, include the frame size, whether it is single or double sided, and how many graphics are needed per branch or stand. Add any notes about courier packing, mall access, or hanging hardware if the fabric pack is going with a suspended frame. Check the print file size against the final spec before production is booked.

Fitment checks for SA sites

Large graphics moving through OR Tambo cargo or regional courier routes need packing notes that protect the silicone edge and folded fabric. Mall installations often require exact carton counts and labelled faces for after-hours access windows. Where frames are reused across multiple campaigns, the spec must identify which branch, size, and orientation each fabric belongs to.

Coastal humidity can affect how packed graphics are stored before installation, especially if cartons stand in back-of-house areas for several days. Inland dust means fabric should stay bagged until the frame is wiped and ready for fitment. Illuminated graphics are best checked under full power so colour density and shadowing can be seen properly.

Information needed before print

Send the visible size, frame profile photo, quantity, and whether the job is wall mounted, freestanding, or suspended. Note any previous fit issues such as loose corners, over-tight skins, or reversed artwork.

Keep this spec sheet with the frame record and courier packing list once artwork is approved. Buyers and installers can then verify fabric size, edge finish, and carton count against the delivered set before fitting graphics into the aluminium frame.
